Coming soon: STC enhancements
Almost any outing to a movie theater means you get to see not only the feature film, but also a few movie trailers—previews of films not yet released. It’s a tantalizing sneak peek at what’s in store: the actors, special effects, suspenseful scenes, and more. Carolina hasn’t added movie trailers to the long list of multimedia products that it offers, but we do want to give you a sneak peek at something coming next year—STC program enhancements!

STC® and STC/MS news
This past spring, the U.S. Department of Agriculture notified Carolina that land snails can no longer be shipped throughout the United States. In the interim, land snails used in the STC® Animal Studies unit were replaced with pill bugs and sow bugs. Since then the NSRC, developer of the STC® program, decided the best replacement for the land snail is the millipede. Therefore, on September 2, 2003, Carolina began shipping millipedes, instead of land snails, for use in Animal Studies. Find out how to adapt your Animal Studies activities to this living material change.
