STC®
Material Safety Data Sheets
Carolina is committed to providing safe and useful
products for the classroom. Most of the "chemical"
components in STC kits are common household items
that can be purchased in any grocery store. However,
misuse or mishandling of these materials can present
a physical or health hazard to teachers and students.
Therefore, STC kits contain Material Safety Data Sheets
(MSDSs) that describe the basic hazards of a material
and explain how the material can be safely handled,
used, and stored.
The
MSDSs enclosed in STC kits were prepared in accordance
with guidelines established by the federal OSHA (Occupational
Safety and Health Administration) Hazard Communication
Standard and the American National Standards Institute
(ANSI). The information in each MSDS is consistent
with federal, state, and international health, environmental,
and safety laws or regulations. MSDSs are written
in nontechnical language for easy comprehension by
employers, employees, emergency responders, environmental
professionals, and medical professionals.
Carolina
believes that supplying MSDSs for products used in
STC kits will enhance the safety awareness of teachers
in the classroom. You should review the MSDSs enclosed
with our kits and keep them on hand in case of emergency
and to satisfy any federal, state, or local regulations.
If you have questions regarding any MSDS, contact
the health and safety professional for your institution
or call us toll free at 800-227-1150.
You
can download additional MSDSs from us if you need
them. If you do not already have
