  • STC Program Unit Descriptions
    The STC PROGRAM™ is made up of 2 research-based curriculums: Science and Technology for Children® (STC®) and Science and Technology Concepts for Middle Schools™ (STC/MS®). Every STC PROGRAM™ unit is a comprehensive instructional module that includes a teacher’s guide and enough supplies to equip one class.     Educational studies are beginning to show that student learning increases after the use of an inquiry-based science curriculum.     STC® and STC/MS™ units were developed to closely align with the National Science Education Standards. The units also align favorably with the Alabama learning framework.

  • Unit Conceptual Storylines (concept maps)
    A conceptual storyline (or concept map) is a visual representation of the major concepts developed during an inquiry-based science unit. The concept map also gives an overview of lesson flow and shows how concepts build on each other throughout the unit.
