STC PROGRAM Update
Spring 2004
STC/MS™ teaching tip:
Earth in Space
To help students learn about tracking shadows and how
Earth rotates on its axis, the
Earth in Space module includes a
Starry Night™ Backyard CD-ROM. But what if you do not have access to a
computer in your classroom? You can still teach Inquiries 3.2 and 4.3 with
some adjustments and additional preparation.
Earth in Space developer Carol O'Donnell suggests you use the CD-ROM
to gather the data for Inquiries 3.2 and 4.3 on your own prior to teaching
them. In the tables below are steps you may use to adapt the inquiries.
