About Math Out of the Box^®

Math Out of the Box® is a complete K–5, inquiry-based math curriculum developed by Clemson University's College of Engineering and Science, published by Carolina Biological Supply Company. Filled with engaging, hands-on activities, Math Out of the Box® is based on the latest research about how children learn.

A team of teachers, directed by specialists in math and science reform, worked together to develop, field-test, revise, and complete the highest-quality lessons and materials based on the NCTM Principles and Standards for School Mathematics. Math Out of the Box® advances an entirely new way to teach math concepts and thinking skills to elementary students—and it works!

Each Math Out of the Box® instructional unit offers:


	20-30 classroom-tested lessons developed around a central theme
	Teacher’s Manual that includes blackline masters of all student worksheets (with the exception of Number Concepts, which includes student workbooks instead)
	Kit of hands-on materials that equips one class of 30 students
