Educational Consultants—Inquiry-Based Science & Math

Carolina Biological Supply Company’s Curriculum Division is seeking educational consultants who support inquiry-based teaching and learning and have a desire to work with school districts to present our curriculum materials to reviewing districts and to support implementation efforts with post-sales training and professional development services.
The Part-Time Educational Consultant should be well trained in inquiry-based science and/or math and have experience using the STC Program™ and/or Math Out of the Box® in the classroom. Candidates should be organized and able to work independently and collaboratively; life-long learners with a passion for education; and be comfortable in a variety of work and classroom environments.

Responsibilities of the Part-Time Educational Consultants include:
Preparing and delivering high-quality, dynamic, interactive presentations
Maintaining product knowledge of science and mathematics programs as published
Remaining abreast of best practices in science and/or math education
Building understanding about new curriculum programs and support materials as they are developed and released

Experience and Education of the Part-Time Education Consultants include:
 
Required
Classroom teaching experience
BS in Education or related field
Experience with inquiry-based science and math
Demonstrable domain expertise and current best practices
Excellent presentation skills
Ability to travel
Computer skills: PC-based Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Lotus Notes

Preferred
Leadership experience
Staff development experience
Masters in Education or a related field
